The Healthy Worker accepts walk-ins throughout the work week. For new injury claims, if you haven’t seen another provider already (emergency room, urgent care, or another occupational medicine clinic), come in before 3 pm Monday to Friday. We do recommend calling ahead and making an appointment to save you some wait time.
Contact us to make an appointment. Do you need a same-day appointment? We accept walk-ins before 3 pm on weekdays. If you have a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest Emergency Room.
- Negative results: 24 to 48 hours
- Non-negative results: Typically, 3 to 5 business days
Yes, we have observed drug screens in accordance with the drug testing rules approved by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT). These rules allow observed collections when employees are screened for follow-up drug testing or return-to-duty requests. Observed drug screens ensure the employee provides their own sample. Contact us directly to find out how we handle the sensitive nature of observed drug screening.
While we recommend making an appointment to prevent long wait times, we accept walk-in drug screen clients.
Bring copies of any reports related to ongoing medical issues, including:
- Sleep apnea: full year of CPAP reports
- Diabetes: A1C (hemoglobin levels) taken within 90 days of the physical
- Heart problems: Clearance from a cardiologist, latest testing results
- Vision impairments: Recent visit notes and clearance from your eye doctor
- Please provide name and address of current medical provider and a list of all current medications
- Vision Evaluation Report Form
- Insulin Treated Diabetes Assessment Form
Yes. However, our staff will need time to review the paperwork prior to scheduling a private physical, so please contact us at least a week before you need the documentation to be submitted. Very basic physicals may be addressed in a shorter period of time.
Immunizations we offer include:
- Hepatitis A
- Hepatitis B
- TDAP (tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis)
For clients wishing to show evidence of antibodies (to confirm and avoid unnecessary vaccinations), we offer blood draws for:
- Hepatitis A
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella (chicken pox)
- MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella)
Yes, we perform TB/PPD skin tests for tuberculosis screening M, T, W and F from 7 am to 4 pm. We do NOT perform this test on Thursdays as the follow up visit would need to be on the weekend.
